The community having the honor of boasting the largest lots in Laguna Niguel is definitely Bear Brand Ranch. Originally the site of, yes, a huge cattle ranch, I remember the lots being cut out and sold when I first moved to Laguna Niguel which would be about 24 years ago. Home styles range from ultra-modern contemporary styles to French and very traditional with some Tuscan and Mediterranean styles also. The main street running through this neighborhood is called Old Ranch Road and cul-de-sacs are carved out from there with such charming names as Searidge and Inspiration Point to name a few. Bear Brand Ranch boasts the most expensive home sales prices to date, in the $7 millions, although there are currently homes for sale in the $2 million range also. Almost all the homes in Bear Brand Ranch have an ocean view. Beautiful small park areas and lovely walking trails dot the landscape and occasionally a horse and rider will come over the hill to San Juan Capistrano. A gorgeous area!
